Hot rays of the sun?

ProQuip is a Scottish golf weather wear and apparel brand - its comfy polo shirts will give you the airy feel and freedom you seek. And the collars can be upturned to protect your neck from the sun.

Silk, gunpowder, distillation, and patented highly-breathable layers of functional ProQuip clothing. The greatest discoveries were closely guarded by proud countries, with the cherished secrets reaching only a select few. So say ProQuip in Scotland – the birthplace of golf and this brand – and you’ll hear the Gaelic ‘aye’ in knowing and affirmative response.

Proven in Scotland, inspired by nature

The ProQuip brand was founded in 1981 in North Berwick, Scotland. The logo features three drops – representing the water that flows off the feathers on a duck’s back. Because in a tough country of highland heather, lakes, and sheep, nature commands the utmost respect. Hence the oft quoted saying: there’s no bad weather for golf, only badly dressed golfers. And that’s exactly where ProQuip apparel - designed exclusively for golf - steps in. A brand that forges its own path, rather than following ideas from other sports. A successful approach that has been confirmed by 20 Ryder Cup team captains and counting, who consistently chose apparel with the three-drops logo. Top layers designed to withstand even heavy rain have a three-year waterproof warranty, and StormFORCE PX series (PX5, PX6 and PX7) men's jackets and trousers will last a lifetime on the fairways.

LAYERING SYSTEM

ProQuip clothing achieves optimal results when combined and layered – with a similar finesse as when a painter applies oils to a canvas or a bartender mixes cocktails. Starting from the base compression layer, through the mid-layer, wool, and water repellent, up to the top layer. Breathable yet wind and rain resistant. Because golf is played in the great outdoors, where the weather is wholly unpredictable.

Powerful outer layer

Gore-Tex introduced revolutionary membrane technology to sport, yet in the thirty years since the technology has been transformed. But while most companies still use identical patented technologies, ProQuip engineers its own membranes - designed for golf – complemented by the lightest and softest fabrics, so the apparel is smooth and quiet. Enabling golfers to fully concentrate on their game, while enjoying a free-flowing swing.

Outer and mid layer

ProQuip embraces being descriptive by nature. Coastal pastures – famous for links golf courses – are grazed by sheep that endure everything from winter cold, spring wind, and summer sun. Knitted jumpers, T-shirts, and underwear use similar young lamb wool and premium Italian merino wool. The mid-layer has a patented water-repellent surface that guarantees comfort and maximum performance.

Base layer

The base layers of all ProQuip collections are leather-like in softness, ensuring perfect and comfy body-fit. These layers wick away moisture and sweat, while remaining breathable. This enables a golfer's body to automatically adapt and ideally acclimatize to the temperature on the course.
